We waited a long time for summer to arrive in Galicia and now it seems that soon it will be over as we are almost halfway through August… The Bodegueros – winemakers – will be paying extra close attention to Las Viñas – As VIDES – The Vines as they begin to make preparations for the special and important work of VENDIMIA – Wine HARVEST! So it is countdown for Bo Camiño TASTE IT! and El Camino Del Vino as the friends of Los Corchos – “wine lovers” – await this very special celebration in the fields and for us it will be the Ancient Roman Vineyards of Ribeira Sacra – so looking forward to it. Another 4 year dream coming to life 🙂

Three of my favorite flavors to enjoy in Spain have been Vino Tinto, Queso Manchego, and Jamon. Part of the traditional diet of spaniards it has become a weekly ritual of enjoyment for me during my time living in Galicia. Once you have tasted this magical combination you can see why it is enjoyed by all who are fortunate to discover it. This is a habit that would be hard to give up. Discovering your favorite Jamon is like finding your favorite wine a treasure hunt that always provides delicious SURPRISES!
