Cándido Pazos López – A True Renaissance Man In Our Modern Age
A very special event with a truly inspiring man and his latest amazing artistic writing creation. An incredible life journey sharing his passion for the camino, art, architecture, sculpture, writing, and wine. It seems there is nothing that this modern day RENAISSANCE MAN Cándido Pazos López hasn´t done. His life´s work has been one passion project after another that touches all who are blessed to meet him and experience his incredible creations.
His latest masterpiece is the Códice Calixtino en los Caminos a Santiago Second Edition – Shares the history, culture, and ancient tradition of all the Camino Routes to Santiago de Compostela. All penned in his own hand you will be amazed and in awe of this beautiful piece of art. A true JEWEL and lasting gift of the CAMINO!
It was a pleasure to be invited to the Presentación del Libro Códice Calixtino El Corte Inglés de Vigo where José Manuel Blanco Aldarix – Dirección De Comunicación y Relaciones Externas El Corte Inglés – Hipercor, S.A. made the formal presentation to the public with Cándido Pazos López the author.
Muchísimas gracias Cándido Pazos López for your generous gift of such a special artistic creation and I will treasure it always as I do our friendship. Bo Camiño!
This special time of Autumn and Winter preparing for the holidays has brought many special experiences, memories and dreams coming true. Some of those dreams began on my first visit to Ribeira Sacra in Otoño 2011. A very special thank you to Mili Méndez of La Voz de Galicia periodico for interviewing me for De Vinos segment and letting me share some of my appreciation and experience of Ribeira Sacra – it truly is vibrant, alive, and magical. I look forward to discovering and sharing in more special times in this very special place.
As my synchronicities have continued I have journeyed 5 times on the Camino de Santiago and will continue to explore its other routes. I have met incredible people and my appreciation and love of Galicia has only deepened. I am very grateful to everyone who has been a special part of my Camino Life Journey without all of you this would not be possible.
The journey continues and I owe a very special thank you to my friends Lucie and Kaj Christensen of Cabo Do Mundo Casa Rural who invited to me to house sit and watch over their incredible casa rural during the holiday season. It is the perfect place to prepare projects for 2015 and to now write my synchronistic story of how the Camino called me to experience its beauty, history and magic.
Muchisimas gracias to Gérman Limeres for bringing me first to Ribeira Sacra in 2011 and introducing me to this incredible place and for taking my picture enjoying some of the fantastic wines and delicious tapas of the region.

Expo Bike and Bicigrino arrived in Santiago de Compostela, April 15, 2014, and were all smiles from their successful completion of their Camino journey. A special time shared among pilgrim friends Jose Luis Penedo Del Rio (Cologne, Germany), Helmut Weingarten (Cologne, Germany), Julio Castro Marcote (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and Cándido Pazos López (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) along with their Bicigrino team mate and camino companion Tomas Sanchez.
In celebration of their arrival a press conference was held at the Parador Hostal Dos Reis Católicos to provide an overview of their camino experience and to share the 2015 Expo Bike & Bicigrino Camino Project Plans in which a special group from Expo Bike Germany will venture to Spain for another special experience along the way and more fantastic camino memories. Bo Camiño!
What better way than to start the Easter Holiday Spring Break week than being in the camino seeing pilgrim friends, as well as, making new ones. A very special thank you to Julio Castro Marcote, Director of the Parador Hostal Dos Reis Católicos, for introducing us to your friends Helmut Weingarten (Cologne, Germany), Jose Luis Penedo Del Rio (Cologne, Germany), and Cándido Pazos López (Santiago de Compostela, Spain) and for participating in Rexistro 108 Vilei.
A wonderful collaborative CAMINO project in the works for 2015 with German Expo Bike Group and sponsors such as Bicigrino.com.
Rexistro 108 Vilei is a creative photography project started by German Limeres in August 2011 where he captures the faces of the pilgrims as they pass his families country house along the French Route of the camino in Vilei. Just 3km outside of Sarria through the magical forest before entering Barbadelo/Vilei. In September 2011 I joined German in capturing the video testimonials of the pilgrims as they share their personal camino reflections on the “What” and “Why” of their pilgrimage journey. Rexistro 108 Vilei is the first visual register of the global pilgrims in the world as they make their Camino adventure.
A very special thank you to the Bo Camiño TASTE IT! Team and friends who helped in celebrating the Bo Camiño TASTE IT! trailer showing at Samos Monastery Gastronomy in the Camino event. We are looking forward to filming the pilot discovering and sharing with you more of the gastronomy treasures of this vibrant and alive pilgrim path.
Thank you to Hosteleria Compostela Magazine, Aser Alvarez, Director of Communication and Adrian Pajaro, Asociacion Hosteleria Compostela for interviewing me and helping me to share my passion for the Camino, Galicia and Spain.
It has been a Camino adventure of a lifetime to follow my synchronicity all the way to living in Galicia since September 2011. I am excited to share through my projects my love of this beautiful land and this ancient tradition. It has been my dream and desire to share through my projects how people using their gifts and talents working collaboratively together to make a difference in the world. This message I hope will help to inspire others to follow their life passions and dreams fully living their purpose on earth.
It is through collaboration and sharing that we can help to make the world a better place. Travel and experiencing another culture learning of their history and traditions while enjoying the beauty of the landscapes and people, their wonderful festivals, delicious food and wine build bonds that help us all come together and bond in a positive way. Bo Camiño!
